Those who were able to upgrade to premium processing before Jul 2, did you get a new receipt number for the upgrade? Or was the old receipt number valid?

What will the answer to the question Current immigration status while filing EAD electonically, i am on EAD rite now and i have never used my advance parole.* Pls help..

One of the comments on my post earlier today about the killed Border Patrol agent seemed pretty harsh - accusing most BP agents of being restrictionists with bad motives. I still think that's harsh and most Border Patrol agents are honestly out to do the necessary job of protecting our country's borders. If you maintain residence here and continue to pay taxes, I think this is doable. You will have to ask USCIS for permission to stay out of the country for about three years.

Hi,
My brother is in this situation, came on L1 in 2008 through company A (valid till june 2010) and got his H1B approved from company B. He went back to India before Oct 2008 and came to US in feb 2009 on L1 again. He now wants to use his H1B, can he do that and how?

Can somebody help me on this one:
Regarding the receipt notice of I-485: which is the difference between the receipt date, receipt number and receipt notice.....from my understanding....the receipt date is when your I-485 application hits Uscis and the receipt notice is when the Uscis is really opening your package and looking at it?
Is it safe to travel( with valid H1b) knowing that your file hits the Uscis...or you have to wait for the receipt notice( now with so many filers for July, is it true that Uscis will send the receipt notice very late, maybe months, I mean later than the June filers.)?
Is it safe to travel after you file for I-485 and before getting the receipt notice....hoping that the receipt will come after you returned to U.S?

Thanks - I took this walking along a railroad bed that is no longer in use. I must have chased 10 of these things around before I finally got this one that would hold still long enough to get a descent shot.
