I had started my anual subscribtion this Friday (4/10/09). How long does it take to be admitted into the donors forum? I have sent the email with details that same day itself. I have not yet recieved a reciept or any RFEs. Hope there is no backlog:D:D:D

Sir/Mam,
I am was in US on H4. I am currently in my home country for vacation.
While here, I got my H1B applied and approved as consular processing for 2011 cap.
I plan to go back to US in August on H4 and then apply COS in October and start working.
My question is : Since my H1 was approved while I was out of US, will my COS also be approved as consular processing only? Do I have to go for stamping again before I could start working???
Also, if I decide to wait and get my H1 stamped in my home country, what is the earliest I can go to stamping for 2011 cap? Can I land in US on H1B sometime mid September and start working from October.

Since you were working all these times, please carry the W2 for 2008 ( for both of you). They may/may not ask for this, but its safe to carry the document
I am currently on H1 but planning to go on H4 due to current economic scenario.
I am planning to go to India due to some family reason and planning to get COS from H1 to H4 in India.
I have my salary slips and my husband has also maintained his status throughout.
Has anyone heard any horror stories about H4 stamping cases getting denied.
What documents they ask for when you go for COS from H1 to H4. Besides salary slips can they ask for my W-2's or they need my husband's W-2's only

Hello All,
Being on H-1 never allowed you to get promoted unless the employer did all the necessary paperwork with USCIS/DOL. EAD being work authorization not limited to current employer, can EAD mean a little more freedom to waiting-for-GC H-1Bs in terms of being able to get promoted within the organization, get different job titles, etc ?
Also, I have 140 approved and H-1B ext was granted for 3 years (till 2010). Does it make any sense to apply for EAD alongwith 485 ? If EAD gives the career advancement opportunities, can I apply for it but keep using my H-1B to re-enter US till 2010 if needed ?

I have changed to a new employer using AC-21 recently. I have pro-actively sent AC-21 documentation (new offer of employment, covering letter and supporting docs) to USCIS. Ever since, I am checking my case online. Its about 3 months now that I have sent this info and there has not been any update/LUD on my 485 case so far. I am not sure if my I-485 case has details about my new employment.
I am currently doing my EAD renewal. I am thinking if it will be possible to indicate to USCIS about my new employment. Can you please advice on -
a) if it is wise to do so?
b) How can it be done?

my wife went to mumbai embassy. after intw they said they need some more info in their systems before issuing the visa. It was h1 renewing. But they didn't keep the passport. Told to submit the passport after they sent email or call you. They did sent the email to submit the passport within 2 days.

People, I see my RD, ND , A#, name on my I485 receipt. But I don't see my priority date PD mentioned on it. I am worried that this might delay my case processing. Anyone in the same boat as me
