As far as I know, I am pretty aggressive in investment and I am getting @15% right now.. which too in a very unconventional ways.. by investing in forex and start ups with a risk of loosing nearly 80% of the investment in a day. when you 100K-200K and get returns like 100k.. dude that 100%-50% investment.. please let me know where can I do that.

1. Do you have a lawyer when you filed the first MTR or did you do it by yourself?
2. Did you submit a copy of the I-140 approval and the AC21 memo during MTR?

1. Yes, I have been having an attorney all the way thru the two MTRs
2. Yes, I-140 approval copy was present in my first MTR. My first MTR did not have AC 21 memo. AC21 memo (2003 Yates Memo) was present in my second MTR when we filed it. Of course, I-140 approval copy was there in the second MTR.

I called and the guy swore that premium processing for I140s was discontinued from May 13 2007..
Another time the guy just read the information which was avlaible online...
third time, I got the number for Premium processing center which of course was incorrect.

I am on OPT right now & my wife is on F-2 visa. We went to New York DMV to get her learners permit. They wouldn't allow her to get the permit as the school on I-20 is not in New York. Its so weird. They gave me NYS license due to my EAD card, but they say they cannot give her the license as the I-20 has to show the school in New York State. Anybody here has any recommendation??? Has anybody on F2 with I-20 from a different state gotten drivers license in New York??

I may be wrong but this is just an omission in the language of the bill. The effective date was stated as the date the bill is introduced, I guess it will change to some thin like when it is signed in to law or sixty days or 180 days from that date. As I said I could be wrong, but it seemed unfair and not right to make it effective retroactively.

First of all why do U wanna ask that? Its an employment based visa that ur GC is based on. So, ur employer shud ask that. Why are u asking IVans to do something which is not in their control??? And yes a foreigner has the right to complain about any govt. organization including USCIS if their processes are adversely effecting him or her. These are the basic principles of the US democracy.

I am really appalled at the responses for the facts I posted here on the forum. I apologize to all who are offended by the posts.However I strongly believe that my comments represent facts.Personally I do not believe an individual can "bash" a country. I have certainly erred with my presumption that my opinions/comments would be received with some maturity of thoughts instead of surging patriotic emotions.

She would ask you to send any queries/questions thru your attorney. I called both DOL and PBEC numbers several times. DOL people, while souding helpful, always said that they are helpless. As for PBEC, most times, I ran into this operator who gruffly told me to talk to my lawyer. I did talk to someone other than the switch board operator on a few occassions and they did give me some useful information. I then used that information to pester my attorney to take some action. I found it is generally best to call on Wednesdays/Thursdays during afternoon sessions. This is just my personal observation. In your case, there is nothing wrong in trying, is there? It is better to try and fail than not trying at all...
My LC application with a PD of Dec 2002 has been rotting at PBEC and finally ad for my case started appearing on AJE web site last week. My attorney has not received any thing at all. Mind you, in my case the recruitment efforts were completed long before it was forwarded to PBEC. It is precisely for this reason my application was 'unfit' for conversion to RIR. They now insist upon doing recruitment all over again. Neither my employer nor my attorney is ever involved in thid PBEC recruitment. The horror never ends...
Go ahead and call. You might get lucky and actually talk to the analyst. When you start your conversation do not start off with request for information. Say that you found a problem with your case in screenshot or something like that. Any thing that makes your conversation separate from the rest. Goodluck.

Anyone can open a company even while you are on a H1 (you don't need EAD for it). But, you can't work for it. Technically, signing a check or opening a bank account is considered to be "work".
